IT'S ALL BLUE

Sigh...

I feel quite vulnerable even at the very thought of putting my heart on my sleeve, but I have to say it out aloud. Otherwise, it'll remain embedded inside of me, conquering my heart and head, and causing lots of unwanted trouble. I am sad. Incredibly sad...

No, I didn't lose a loved one, nor did my pet goldfish die (I don't have a pet goldfish, but maybe I should get one!) It's just that I've been feeling down lately and lost most of my enthusiasm to do anything at all.

Every morning, I just wish the time would pass by as quickly as possible and hope that the evening will be better (end of working hours!) The other day, I actually tried doing something new... I went out for dinner with some of the colleagues whom I do not habitually hang out with just for the sake of trying something new. It was quite fun, but when it was all over and done with, I found myself being down again.

And then, every Sunday night, I wait for the week to fly by quickly and anticipate Friday night to drop by as quickly as possible.

It is said that the Earth looks blue from outer space. The world is a sad place :(

  1. I am so very sorry that you are feeling sad. It sounds like your work is particularly not happiness inducing. Or is it not that?

Do you feel sad all the time? What makes you feel happy?

I think the Earth looks beautiful from space. It's my desktop image.

  3. maryam: thanks for the sympathies. It's quite hard to point at the exact problem for now, but work on its own is a contributing factor... But there are happy moments too, like today (Saturday). Retail therapy helps a lot :D

ian: 'hugs back' yeah, it is beautiful, no doubt. I suppose I sometimes end up selecting the strange and unconnected when I write :D

  4. Ah... the joys and dangers of retail therapy:-)

Would looking into a new job be at all a possibility? What are you passionate about?

  5. A lot of people seem to be feeling blue recently. I say ride it out; things will look up soon. This, too, shall pass.

  6. Sometimes we just get in a funk. I had that problem not too long ago, but now I've moved through it and I'm on the upswing again.

Hopefully your funk will be short-lived too.

    Hang in there.

  8. Awww, I hope you perk up soon! =) I often find myself in the doldrums. It's either that or feeling lethargic and lazy, and it's really bad. Just like you, I can't exactly pinpoint my source of the problem. =S

  10. terra, I think you and I are natured alike. I've suffered from clinical depression most of my adult life. There's no need for you to feel so sad. You may just have a chemical imbalance and a regular dose of seratonin may pick you right up. Go see your doctor and see what he can do for you. I hope this helps.

Actually, my vote was for the young Chinese couple to win the Amazing Race Asiafrom Malaysia. :-)
Terra, what I wrote yesterday was very true. But I am one of the more controversial and outspoken ones.
Feel write to write whatever your spirit tells you too.
You have my encouragement and support and please visit anytime.
