IF ALL THE FROGS LEAPED TOGETHER...

I was just thinking that you don't get that many 29 Februarys in a lifetime. Well, at least not as many as say, 29 March or 29 April, which makes this post a once in a 4 year thing. Not knowing what the future holds (in the sense if I will still be blogging in 4 years time - though I don't see it any other way currently) I thought it would be appropriate to say something today.

See, now I have a post dated 29 February 2008. Happy leap day... (if there is such a thing!)

HIPS DON'T LIE, DO THEY?

I've been walking... A lot. Involuntarily. Especially in the past two weeks. And been missing out on proper exercise, but I figured that the walking would cover that. It did, in a way... But....

It's with deep embarassment that I admit that my right hips hurts at this age (late twenties) Typically, I should be in a perfectly fit condition, but certain activities the past two weeks (and they're not in the least very strenuous, either) have left me with a strange pain in the hip.

So, now I can't sit comfortably, and walking seems to be a chore, but life goes on, and the walking continues... and so does the pain in the hip. Bleh.

JUST MY LUCK!!

This week alone, I had contemplated to "pull a Nehru" at least 3 times. The only thing that stopped me from doing so was the lack of time to draft out something that was necessary to do such a thing, therefore, the plan was chucked into the KIV file, most probably never to be seen or heard of again until something worse comes up (Which, when you look at it, seems awfully funny because, the plan actually arose from the lack of time to do anything!!)

I've always wondered why things happen the way they do. What is the grand plan of things? Why do the easiest and most non-problematic things cause problems and become the hardest things ever when I'm around? Why do I seem to be swimming into a pool of incomprehensible darkness that never seem to end nor brighten up?

Ok.... so I've done my bit of complaining... (and I know its pretty cryptic, and all, but that's how it needs to be for the moment) Onto happier things that were!

UNTITLED

This will be the 3rd draft of whatever I was supposed to write. It's been 3 days since I needed a proper blogging fix, and sadly, I got sidetrackked each time (unavoidable circumstances such as working late, unreliable internet connections and such), hence the 3rd draft. I hope this gets posted up today, although it's becoming less and less relevant as the hours pass by, just like how the air molecules escape from an aging balloon.

I have reached the point where I can't seem to come up with a fitting title for this post, and I suppose its partly due to the fact that there's just so many things I want to write about that they're all reaching out, hoping to see their pretty faces on this template.

I wanted to put up about my thoughts on 2/3rds of the Grammys (because that's what I watched, the other 1/3rd was spent with House - Hugh Laurie has a fantastic smile, by the way), and I was thinking of posting up something on the funny noises that seem to be coming from the bottom of my car as I drive it, and how the tyres need to be changed, but I don't seem to have the time to do them (I had 4 free days last week - long weekend, but seeing that it was the Lunar New Year, and most mechanics celebrate the Lunar New Year, it was not possible to do it back then)

It's been a busy few days, and I've neglected my 3 times a week 'running' for about 2 weeks now. I feel teribbly tired as well as somewhat miserable, and a tad bit unhealthy (I think I heard my knee creak this morning!) I wish I had 28 hours in a day to complete everything I have pending. Bleh!

On another note (a lighter, happier one), I recently got united with a long lost cousin of mine through fb (of all things!) Technically he's not supposed to be a long lost cousin seeing that we're actually first cousins, but life is weird in such a way that the last time we saw each other was when I was 12 and he was 6.

On second thought... I think I will post up a post on my thoughts on the Grammys. Only time will tell!

STATISTICS

Statistics has always been the most straightforward part of mathematics until 'probability' came into the picture. It's also one of the most interesting, especially when it comes to stuff related to blog searches.

I sort of got the idea for this post after reading The Seventh Notion the other day, and I'm aware that there were many others who have done this before.

Based on statcounter (which is wonderful, by the way, because it is so easy to use!) about 15.77% of people ended up on my blog post titled "blogger chicks rock" searching for 'malaysian chicks blogspot'. I don't really want to guess what they came looking for, but judging from the time they spent at my site, I doubt they got what they wanted.

The second highest search that led to this blog is "red tubes". My post was about the 3 in 1 nescafe packets that I'm addicted to (which are red, by the way). I suspect the people came by looking for a site that sells red tubes, or maybe a site that recommends the best red tubes in the market. Hehehe.

Some examples of searches that made me scratch my head are, "backup tao of pooh pdf" (???), "kenny sia father position" (to the person who searched for this, I regret to inform you that kenny sia's father had passed away 3 years ago), "sentimental jury las vegas" (Have I ever mentioned las vegas in my blog? - Maybe CSI), "prometheus anatomie blogspot" (maybe a book on greek mytholog(ie)y is where you may find the answer to this, otherwise you could ask the blogger prometheus who has disappeared from the blogging scene)

Alright... that's it. Now if people come around searching for the keywords above, they're going to land on this page. (inserts evil laughter here)

IT's THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN

Time for the Annual Appraisal again.  It's a cloudy Sunday afternoon, and I had just finished giving scores to my subordinates on their ...
