A Moment of Madness

The impulsive shopper who goes by the nom de blog Terra Shield stood in front of the fiction shelf where  authors whose names started with P decorated the spines of the books they once wrote. And for the first time in over two years, the name Pratchett seemed to dominate the shelf. So there went the impulsive shopper, picking out books she wanted to read but couldn't because it was never easy to find Pratchett in the local bookstore she visited. With the help of her sister and a bewildered cousin (said cousin has never seen her in such a frenzied excitement), she grabbed a total of 11 books! That's going to be about four to five months worth of entertainment!

The 11 books obtained during the shopping frenzy

The whole collection from 2006 till now

  1. Goodness, a serious obsession here! So what's the big attraction of Terry Pratchett? The characters, the plots, the writing style? Happy reading anyway!

  6. Whoa, that's an impressive collection you've got there. I've never read any of Terry Pratchett's books before.
Maybe you could do a review of one of his books (the one you enjoyed the most)?

  7. Nick: I almost always end up getting more than two books.... the best was during the penguin sales last year. My sister and I got ourselves three big boxes of books!

LMC: They're a safe form of Happy Pills, hehehe... Thanks for the idea about the review. I'll probably do it on the one I read last (Can't seem to pick a favourite)

  13. Hoozle went to disc-con this year and regaled me with tales of the Unseen University Challenge, in which her team came second. We reckon with our powers combined we could take the title in 2012. I now am extra-legitimising my Pratchett reading as study! Best study ever!

And by the way if you have trouble getting a title you only have to ask! I can easily lay my hands on them and in some cases have two copies!

Thanks for the suggestion that I try to locate titles I can't find here from you...
