100 movies in a poster

Image
Note: Enticing procrastination tool ahead. If I called myself a movie buff, the stone lodged somewhere in the tread of my left safety shoe would laugh so hard, it'll get dislodged immediately. However, despite the number of movies I've watched over the years average less than the average of almost anyone else, I couldn't help being drawn to the picture below. Basically, what you've got to do is to guess the names of the movies creatively hidden in there (if you want to) and place your findings in the comments section (also if you want to)... I'll be away on a short holiday for the next few days, so guess away!  Oh yeah, click to enlarge the picture :) Picture credits: Lovefilm, I guess...

iProcrastinate

They got it right when they named it Script Frenzy. Nearing the halfway mark period wise, yet still quite far away from the target halfway mark (only 34 out of the 50 pages required by the 15th!), procrastination beckons in all sorts of ways. Worse still, I'm sleepy and nodding off on the keyboard! Frenzy indeed! Though not much of a towel thrower, all I feel like doing right now is to find a nice little comfortable corner to hide in until the end of the month.

Of Geeky Smiles and Procrastination

There should be a category in any award giving ceremony especially for procrastinators. That way, I can achieve a) Immediate (but somewhat reluctant) fame b) Some cool prizes c) Meet other famous people About a year ago, I had blogged about some wisdom tooth issues that have been plaguing me for as long as I can remember, but certain events led to making the task of getting it removed similar to the act of pushing a (very stubborn elephant) up the stairs. Allow me to explain... It would have began in July 2007. I had gone to a dentist to have my teeth checked, which is a usual thing to do. The only unusual thing about it is that I had neglected doing so since I was in my teens. Nevertheless, no problems were found, except that the dentist had informed me that my teeth was all compacted at the back! Now, she could have recommended an orthodontist for me to visit, but she didn't, instead she asked me to check with my HR to see which clinics were available. The lady at HR inst...

Rock Yourselves Out

Ahem! If you're a reluctant procrastinator like myself, I implore you to stop reading right here and click on the exit button, because I assure you that if you do continue, you will end up procrastinating, like I did. Anyway, the picture above was in circulation over the net a few years ago, stating that there are about 75 bands hidden in the picture, all under (or formerly under) the record label Virgin Records, and I had spent a few good hours over several weeks trying to figure out the bands that were rather cleverly hidden there after seeing it on this blog . I managed to get a few before giving up because I started seeing stars, but no one seems to know if they are right or wrong! So, what you've got to do is to see if you can identify the bands/singers listed above and then place your answers in the comments section. Further discussion will ensue when I get back :)

Weekend Procrastination and Things to Panic About

Image
Let's begin with the worries 1. There's only three days left before I begin my three day adventure with a friend, an acquaintance and a stranger in the land of the hornbills , and I've been scouring the web looking for information about the places we could visit, how to get around etc, and the news is not good... apparently, activity ceases at about 7pm, and public transportation may not be available. So do we rent a car? I don't know... 2. I tried doing some packing last night... because I know for a fact that I cannot trust doing anything on work nights, especially since I won't be around at work on Thursday and Friday, I'll have to work extra to cover the lost days... which when you look at it, seems to mean that taking a vacation or break sort of beats the purpose... 3. The combination which I thought I set for my luggage does not seem to be working. Now I can't lock my luggage, and although I'm not exactly carrying anything expensive - it'...

TAKING THE FITNESS BULL BY THE HORNS

Somewhere towards the end of 2007, AHD created a blog for the unfit and I joined in as a contributor as were both very interested in increasing our fitness, and thought that the best way to document our endeavors would be to blog about it. My recent so-called adventures in torture camp however, made me realise just how unfit I was despite my sporadic attempts at running on the treadmill and lifting pathetic weights on my own as I ended up being in terrible pain a few days after I returned once all the adrenaline had worn off, which is why I decided to finally become a member in one of the gyms nearby (about 20 minutes away by car from the house on a non-busy road) Anyway, just to highlight the reasons why I made this decision after so long, I decided to reproduce one of the entries I made in that particular blog way back then with new comments that picture the situation I observed in the past few days of going to the said gym. THE GYM MEMBERSHIP Being fit is in the rage right...
